Baldpate Mountain
Located in Ted Stiles Preserve, 470 foot tall Baldpate Mountain overlooks the wide Delaware River. The trails here are especially magical in the autumn. The woodlands shiver in mystical autumn breezes and the paths are strewn with leaves as golden as coins. True to its name, the hill is not covered with forest on top but instead has a 10 acre meadow bursting with a variety of wildflowers. Tucked in secret corners of the woods are dilapidated homesteads and mossy shacks, whispers of the mountain's past life and hints at its future.
