Thompson Park

Even in the midst of urbanized Central Jersey, patches of nature can be found. Early spring is a delightful time to explore these woodlands. Cute bridges cross streams gouged sharply into the earth, and paths wind through grassy fields smelling of wild garlic. But civilization is never far away. Just outside of the forest by the historic Anderson House are parked trucks and cars of bygone years. They bear bumper stickers like "No farmers, no food", juxtaposing a life of the forest with a life of civilization, be it agricultural farms or solar farms.

Field garlic, invasive (but edible!)
