Black Run Preserve
Even in monotonous suburbia, there remain pockets of nature. Black Run Preserve, once a cranberry bog, has since been reclaimed by the wild. Stately chestnut oaks shade the sandy trails, and beavers make their dams along the many ponds and streams. This small park is sometimes hailed as the gateway to the Pine Barrens, and rightly so. It is here that one can pass from the hurried modern world to the beauty and serenity of nature.
