Woodstock
Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller NHS
Where the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park brushes against the town of Woodstock stands the 1,357 foot tall Mt. Tom. The gently winding Faulkner Trail switchbacks up the mountain's verdant slopes, leading hikers to an overlook with a wide bucolic view. The scenes down below seem to have been taken from a pastoral painting. Tractors rove methodically across a patchwork of fields, and horses and cows graze on pastures nestled the wooded valleys. The streets of the quintessential New England village of Woodstock spread out close to the mountain's base, red brick houses and shops peeking through leafy green trees. This Woodstock may not have any connection the famous Woodstock in New York, but it holds a special charm of its own.The Village of Woodstock
Often called the prettiest small town in America, Woodstock charms all who visit its quaint streets. Shops retain historical façades and are filled with Vermont-themed souvenirs, the most prominent motif being the black and white cow. Restaurants with names like The Prince & The Pauper or The Village Butcher Shop line the walkways. And recreational opportunities in the surrounding rolling hills are
never far away.

Sleepy Hollow Farm
Woodstock’s downtown doesn’t hold all the picturesque houses. Just down Cloudland Road, a small red barn nestles in beside wooded slopes and a broad farm. Sleepy Hollow Farm is a photographer’s heaven, with some fall days drawing as many as 25 shutterbugs to the secluded farm's driveway. It's not difficult to understand the allure. Sleepy Hollow Farm is the essence of Woodstock concentrated and magnified in one scene.
Billings Farm
Established in 1871 by Frederick Billings, Billings Farm is known for its excellent Jersey cow breeding. Currently, the farm holds an award-winning herd of over 70 Jersey dairy cows, as well as Southdown sheep, oxen, and draft horses.
Taftsville Covered Bridge
Dating back to 1836, Taftsville Covered Bridge is one of the oldest covered bridges in New England. With its bright firetruck red exterior, this covered bridge is hard to miss. Still, its historic charms have not been exempt from the influence of time. Right beside the bridge is are the intricate wires and cables of a hydroelectric dam, providing an interesting juxtaposition of old and new.
