Boston Public Garden

In the heart of Boston sits the Boston Public Garden. Dating back to 1839, it is the first public botanical garden in the United States, and it has not lost its charm over the years. Swan boats float serenely across the pond in the center, and weeping willows trail their branches through the water. Distinct melodies from street musicians fade from one part of the garden to the next, with music ranging from traditional Chinese erhu songs to more modern tunes such “Can’t Take My Eyes off You” by Frankie Valli. The distinct songs reflect the diversity of Boston itself and add to a movie-like atmosphere. This characteristic cinematic allure has been palpable to many. A major scene in the well-known Boston movie Good Will Hunting was filmed here, and fans of the movie continue to come here to relieve the magic. But you don't need to be a movie fan to enjoy this park. Spend one golden afternoon here, and there's no doubt that you will fall in love with the Boston Public Garden.
